Women Officials' Network
On Nov. 24, Judge Martha Anderson, OC Family Court, will
receive the prestigious Arthur Eugene Moore Champion of
Children Award.  Next Tuesday is Adoption Day in the Family
Division of the Oakland County Circuit Court.      



In Fall 2009 Judge Joan Young, OC Family Court was recently
named a "Champion for Justice" by Common Ground and the
Oakland County Family Law Assistance Project (FLAP).  She was
honored for her "dedication to providing legal services to
low-income people in Oakland County," according to Ashley
Lowe, director of FLAP and an associate professor at Cooley Law
School, Auburn Campus.

Cassandra Ulbrich, member of the State Board of Education, was
chosen for Crain's Detroit Business' "Forty under Forty" class of
2009.   She is also Director of Corporate and Foundation
Relations at Wayne State University.

Judge Denise Langford-Morris received the Excellence in Law
and Justice Award from the National Congress of Black Women
on the occasion of their 25th Anniversary Celebration in late
September.  Judge Langford-Morris is currently the longest-  
serving woman on the Sixth Circuit Court, having served for 17
years.
